How to switch payroll frequency for an employee

In this guide you will complete the following steps:

  1. Add new pay period
  2. Create pay period schedule
  3. Terminate existing employee
  4. Rehire employee
    1. Add new pay period
      1. Add new pay period type from (Company >> Setup)
    2. Create pay period schedule
      1. Create pay period schedule from (Company >> Payroll Schedule)
    3. Terminate existing employee
      1. Terminate exisiting employee from (Employee >> Setup)
    4. Rehire employee
      1. Afert terminating employee, press Rehire button in (Employee >> Setup)
      2. Select pay period and enter new date of hire.
      3. Create new Salary profiles for rehired employee from (Employee >> Salary Profile)
      4. Payroll can be calculated in new pay period type now.
      5. Important :
        1. You need to issue ROEs for employees for whom you will switch the pay frequency.
        2. After new employees are created, you will need to enter old employees' payroll data in new employees'
          (Year to date >> Payroll screen)
