SwipeClock Guide

In this guide you will complete the following 3 steps:

  1. Obtaining an API Information from SwipeClock
  2. Configure SwipeClock API
  3. Employee Import from SwipeClock
  4. Link Employee(s)
  5. Timesheets Data Import from SwipeClock
    1. Obtaining an API Information
      1. Log into your SwipeClock Account.
      2. Go to Settings Menu >> Client Level API Secret Management
      3. Copy Accountant ID, Site ID and SwipeClock API Secret for futher use.
    2. Configure SwipeClock API
      1. Login to SimplePay account.
      2. Go to Add-Ons >> SwipeClock
      3. Enter API details.
      4. Press Save Settings button.
    3. Employee Import from SwipeClock
      1. Load SwipeClock page in SimplePay, and go to Import Data Tab.
      2. Under Manage Employees panel, number of employees created in SwipeClock will be listed which are not imported in SimplePay.
      3. Click on Import Employees button.
      4. Employees data will be loaded in editable form.
      5. Select Employees which you want to import.
      6. Make any required changes and press Save data button.
      7. Employees will be imported into SimplePay.
      8. Employees salary profile data will be imported only if Salary is set as 'Per Hour' in SwipeClock.
      9. You can import timesheet data for employees imported from SwipeClock.
    4. Link Employee(s) between SwipeClock and SimplePay
      1. If employees are already created in both apps, use Link Employees to connect them
      2. Select employee(s) from SwipeClock and SimplePay dropdown
      3. Click Link Employee(s) button.
    5. Timesheets Data Import from SwipeClock
      1. Load SwipeClock page in SimplePay.
      2. Load Import Data page from top right of the page.
      3. Select pay period type (in case of multiple pay period types in company).
      4. Available date range for Timesheet data import is given.
      5. You can select to import Timesheet as Hours Worked or Time In Time Out format.
      6. Press import data button to import timesheets from SwipeClock .
      7. Importing data will auto create Time sheet Headings for Category in SwipeClock
      8. Status message will be displayed for Timesheet imports.
      9. All Hours from SwipeClock will be imported as Regular Hours.
      10. Note: Payroll Schedule must be same in SwipeClock and SimplePay.
      11. Note: Breaks will be deducted only when timesheet data is imported as Hours worked..
      12. You can check the imported timesheet data in Payroll page and Timesheet page.
